My name is Dion A. Craig, I became a member to the State Bar of Texas in 2003. The years that I have spent on this earth I have learned a lot. My education has come inside and outside of the classroom. I, like many other students have mastered the subjects that I studied in school. However, the education I acquired in the classroom is not complete to succeed in life; skills like determination, hard work, positive attitude and ambition are needed.
My overall goal is to provide legals services in all areas of the law. I am particularly interested in Criminal and Tax law, for a couple of reasons. The current criminal justice system does not give the defendant a fair opportunity to defend the charges that are brought against him or her. It is almost as if the statement should be "guilty until proven innocent."
Furthermore, I feel that the current criminal justice system is focused more on incarceration instead of rehabilitation of criminals. If an individual is rehabilitated instead of incarcerated they have a greater possibility of becoming a productive member in society.
The other area of law that I plan to concentrate on is tax law. I have always had a interest in economics and taxation of money. Govermential entities constantly review tax law in order to finance their budgets and provide services for the public. I like the idea of being able to give advise to an individual or business on how to invest and save money, estate planning and tax advice.
I hope that this profile has given you a good idea of who I am. As an attorney my goal is to establish a healthy attorney-client relationship to handle all of your legal needs.
